Resveratrol is a Targeted Non-toxic Treatment for Several Cancer Types

resveratrolFor five years Dr. Arthur Polan from the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine has studied the intriguing way that resveratrol successfully destroys difficult to treat cancers without damaging healthy tissue.

Conventional toxic cancer treatments run the risk of permanent damage to vital organs.  Resveratrol offers the promise of effective non-toxic treatment for babies and children afflicted by a nervous system cancer called neuroblastoma.

The delicate nature of the eye poses another conventional treatment challenge.  Ocular melanoma starts in the colored portion of the eye and toxic anti-cancer treatments can destroy the surrounding healthy tissue.  Resveratrol distinguishes between the cancerous and normal cells allowing targeted treatment of this complex organ.  The same applies in skin and breast cancers.

With further study, resveratrol may soon take a place alongside other proven plant based cancer protocols like taxol and etopside.

OPC-3 outperforms statin drugs in reducing C-Reactive Proteins

A clinical study of Isotonix OPC-3® showed a 52.1% reduction in C-Reactive proteins in blood plasma compared to a 13-14% reduction when using statin drugs.

C-reactive protein (CRP) is currently the only predictive marker which can forecast the likelihood of a heart attack.  Elevated CRP can also be triggered by infection, cancer, rheumatoid arthritis and other sources of inflammation.

What makes Isotonix Resveratrol special?

I’ve posted several articles and studies about the remarkable effects of resveratrol, the compound in red wine (that is believed to be the answer to the “french paradox“), along with a link to Market America’s Isotonix® Resveratrol product.

With the increased awareness of the benefits of resveratrol, there are dozens of products popping up to cash in on the news including resveratrol beer!

So what makes Isotonix® Resveratrol different than all the others?  Quite a bit actually.

Isotonic-capable

Isotonix® Resveratrol is the only resveratrol product that is isotonic-capable, which means that when it is dissolved in water it becomes isotonic.  Isotonic is a chemical state that means “same pressure” or “same concentration”.  The levels of dissolved solids in an isotonic solution match the fluids in the human body and are thus readily absorbed in the small intestine while retaining almost all of it’s nutritive value.

Resveravine®

Isotonix® Resveratrol contains Resveravine®, a patented extract from Bio Serae Laboratories, that contains both trans-resveratrol and e-viniferin.  This synergistic combination has been shown in clinical studies to be more effective that regular resveratrol.

The following chart shows the effectiveness of various antioxidants, including resveratrol and Resveravine®, at inducing apoptosis (programmed cell death) in cancer cells.  Resveravine® is the red bar.

In another study, Resveravine® was found to be more effective at protecting LDL from free-radical oxidation damage than resveratrol and other antioxidants.

BioVin® Advanced

Isotonix® Resveratrol also contains BioVin Advanced®, a combination of resveratrol from French red wine, other wine polyphenols, and proanthocyanidins (OPCs).  If you’ve read the other posts on this forum about OPCs, you know what a powerful combination this is.

VitaBlue™

The final active ingredient of Isotonix® Resveratrol is VitaBlue™, a patented blueberry extract made from North American wild blueberries.  Blueberries have long been touted as a potent antioxidant, but also contain a compound called pterostilben, a relative to resveratrol that has been shown to have anti-cancer, cholesterol reduction, and cognitive improvement effects.  VitaBlue™ also provides anthocyanins (12.5%), polyphenolics (40%), and has an extremely high total ORAC value of 6500 units per gram.

The combination of Resveravine®, BioVin® Advanced, VitaBlue™, and isotonic capability make Isotonix® Resveratrol an extremely potent and highly bioavailable form of resveratrol that is unique in the industry.

Antioxidant levels significantly lower in fibromyalgia patients

sore-neckFibromyalgia is one of those challenging conditions that modern medicine has yet to find a definitive cause of or effective treatment for.  One theorized contributor is oxidative stress, also known as free radical damage.  A group of researchers set out to examine the balance of oxidants and antioxidants in women diagnosed with fibromyalgia compared to healthy women.  They evaluated 85 women with fibromyalgia and 80 healthy women matched in age, weight, and height.

After measuring the oxidant and antioxidant levels in all women, they found a clear correlation indicating that those with fibromyalgia had more free radicals and fewer antioxidants in their bodies.  The results don’t indicate whether the imbalance is a cause or an effect, but the researchers believe that it is very likely that free radicals are a contributing factor to the disease.

People with fibromyalgia can increase their antioxidant levels by eating lots of fresh fruits and vegetables and  supplementing their diet with antioxidants.

Resveratrol helpful in treating head and neck cancers

hand-on-neckResearches at the University of Colorado Cancer Center have found that resveratrol increases the effectiveness of radiation therapy on cancer cells in the lab.  It works by tricking the cancer cells into thinking that their DNA has been damaged, like radiation does, but does not harm normal cells.
