Antioxidants included in the study include Vitamin E, Vitamin C, resveratrol, and bilberry extract.

Researches at the Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences at the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center in Denver have shown that the chemicals in Grape Seed Extract are effective against colorectal cancer cells in mice and in test tubes.
“Their study, published in the October 18 issue of Clinical Cancer Research, documented a 44% reduction of advanced colorectal tumors in the animals, and also revealed, for the first time, the molecular mechanism by which grape seed extract works to inhibit cancer growth.”
Prior studies have found Grape Seed Extract to also be effective against certain skin and prostate cancers.
While tests in laboratory animals are not an indicator of similar effectiveness in humans, the research is very encouraging.
